These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Capsule mobile application ("App") developed by Optinghost ("Developer", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Capsule is a personal journaling application that allows you to record one thought per day along with mood, photos, and contextual information. The App is free to use and is supported by advertisements served by Google AdMob.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Capsule. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App.
You may use Capsule anonymously or sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. If you use a Google account, you are subject to Google's Terms of Service in addition to these Terms.
You may not share your account credentials with others or use the App on behalf of another person without their consent.
You retain full ownership of all journal entries, photos, and other content you create within Capsule ("Your Content"). We do not claim any ownership rights over Your Content.
By storing Your Content in the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the App's functionality to you. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account.

The App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. By using the App, you agree to receive these advertisements. Ads may be personalized based on your device's advertising identifier and general usage signals. You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings (see our Privacy Policy for instructions).
We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. Clicking on ads may take you outside the App to third-party websites or apps, which are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the App, you agree to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy, including the collection of advertising data by Google AdMob.
Capsule relies on Firebase (Google) to store your data. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. You use the App at your own risk.
The App, including its design, code, icons, and all content created by the Developer, is owned by Optinghost and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without our express written permission.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that your data will always be available or that it will not be lost.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL OPTINGHOST BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any).
We strongly recommend that you do not use Capsule as your sole repository for important information. While we take measures to back up and protect data, we are not responsible for any loss of Your Content due to technical failures, connectivity issues, or other circumstances beyond our control.
You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account via Settings → Account → Delete Account. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at our discretion if you violate these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections 5, 9, 10, 11, and 14 survive termination.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the Developer's jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the App.
